BaddyG: I worked to be up to meta

5 April 2022 Krzysztof Kubicki

Weren’t you afraid that you wouldn’t do so well in the new team? It’s been a year since you played at this level. I know you’re such a crazy personality but I was afraid that your stress might undermine the ground a bit.

I like to laugh and talk, but I’m fully focused and professional when it comes to work. I try to do the best job I can. When it comes to stress, I probably didn’t have it. I entered this match as if for a regular training session, but there was a lot of pressure. During this year, I kept in touch with many people from the environment. I worked to be up to meta, that is, to know how to react and play my agents. I watched a lot of FPX meetings to match the team as well as possible, and it was my dream to play with FPX because of their game style that suits me.

But it’s not exactly your dream come true, a few months in an interview with me you said that your dream IGL you would like to play with is Ange1.

So recently, we even managed to get into TeamSpeak for Angel1 during a match at Ldn Utd. He gave us words of encouragement, let’s enjoy the game. It really helped. We are very happy when Ange1 can talk to us and give us advice about the game. When Angel1 says that he has to go somewhere to do something, one or the other player will say “God Bless” on “TS” hoping that Kryrylo will come back to us. It’s really chilling.

Finally, has the past year taught you anything in the long run, not only in terms of playing but also being human?

Yes, I think this year was quite significant for me. Despite so many failures and obstacles to my feet, I was fed up with it. Me and Gerard, my agent, and all the ProPlayers boys, we already thought it couldn’t get any worse. The guys always supported me; they said that everything will be fine as long as I work diligently and give my best. The proof of that is that I can finally show myself in FPX and won a match on Liquid.
