Well-known esports player Grzegorz “Szpero” Dziamałek became a new investor of ProPlayers agency. The company, which develops players’ careers, strengthened its competences.
In January 2018, the founders of the ProPlayers agency created a company that became the very first entity in Poland to start running careers of esports players. Aleksander Kaim and Krzysztof Kubicki believed that inspiration from traditional sports would benefit the esports industry. One of the first players to trust them was Grzegorz “Szpero” Dziamałek. He is a multiple Polish CS:GO champion, who has switched esports organisations (clubs) several times in recent years with the support of ProPlayers agency. Currently, the highly regarded player is preparing to participate in the play-in phase of IEM Katowice 2022, the most significant global event in the annual calendar of Polish esports.
Playing is still loads of fun and a major priority for me. However, as a conscious person I know that I should invest in other projects during my career. Just take a look at Robert Lewandowski, who is the best football player in the world and still develops new businesses. This is exactly what I am doing to ensure a secure future for myself right now – argues the 30-year-old Dziamałek.
The increased involvement of “Szpero” will strengthen the strategic competences of the ProPlayers agency. Specialised agents will remain responsible for operational matters.
– I am currently advising the management team. I have expertise and knowledge of the game and its ecosystem. I can say immodestly that I have a nose for emerging young talents. I also do not foreclose that one day I will be more closely involved in the project. After my career, I would like to support the careers of adolescent players and help them achieve international success – adds Grzegorz Dziamałek.
– The key value in a business is trust. I am very glad that our cooperation with Grzegorz has been lasting for four years and has currently reached a whole new level. Our company has been developing dynamically during that time. We have increased our revenue structure, our team of agents and the number of players we serve. Today, it is a group of 40 players from all around Europe. Three of them became world champions in Valorant in December. We are committed to understanding the needs of the players and to supporting everyone at an increasingly higher level. Our strength is our people. That’s why it was so only natural that an esports player, who has been with us for the longest time and who has a lot of valuable insights, joined the group of partners – explains Krzysztof Kubicki from the board of ProPlayers agency.
In 2022, the ProPlayers brand plans to develop competencies in the world of CS:GO, Valorant and particularly League of Legends, in order to strengthen the company’s position among global agencies supporting esports players.
